1. Who We Are
Voltdrop Ltd ("Voltdrop", "we", "us", or "our") is a mobile game studio registered in England and Wales. We develop and publish hyper-casual mobile games for iOS and Android. Our registered email address is [email protected].
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data when you play our games or visit voltdropgaming.com. It applies to all Voltdrop games and services.
2. Data We Collect
We collect data in two ways: automatically when you use our games, and directly when you contact us.
Automatically collected data includes:
- Device identifiers (advertising ID, device model, OS version)
- Gameplay data (session length, level progress, in-game actions)
- Purchase records (if you make in-app purchases)
- Crash and performance data
- Approximate location (country/region level only, derived from IP address)
- Ad interaction data (ad impressions, clicks, and revenue attribution)
Data you provide directly:
- Email address and message content when you contact support
We do not knowingly collect names, precise location data, or financial payment details. Payment transactions are handled directly by Apple App Store or Google Play.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To operate and improve our games and services
- To display personalised or contextual advertising via Google AdMob
- To process in-app purchases and prevent fraud
- To analyse gameplay and fix crashes (Firebase, GameAnalytics)
- To measure advertising campaign effectiveness (Adjust / AppsFlyer)
- To respond to your support requests
- To comply with our legal obligations
4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK/EU Users)
We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR and EU GDPR:
- Consent — for personalised advertising (where required by applicable law)
- Legitimate interests — for analytics, crash reporting, and service improvement
- Contract performance — to deliver in-app purchases you have made
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws and regulations
5. Third-Party Services
Our games use the following third-party SDKs and services, each of which may collect data subject to their own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob — advertising network (admob.google.com)
- Unity Technologies — game engine and Unity IAP (unity.com)
- Google Firebase — crash reporting and remote configuration (firebase.google.com)
- GameAnalytics — gameplay analytics (gameanalytics.com)
- Adjust / AppsFlyer — mobile attribution and install tracking
- Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing and account management
We require all third-party processors to maintain appropriate data security standards. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
6. Advertising
Our games are free to play and are supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob to serve ads. AdMob may use your advertising ID to serve personalised ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalised Ads (off)
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID
Where required by law (including for users under 16 in the UK/EU), we serve non-personalised ads only.
7. In-App Purchases
Some of our games offer optional in-app purchases. All transactions are processed by Apple or Google — we do not receive or store your payment card details. Purchase records are retained as required for accounting and fraud prevention purposes.
8. Children's Privacy
Our games are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
Where a game is designed for a general audience that may include children, we configure our advertising to serve only non-personalised, contextual ads in compliance with COPPA and UK/EU GDPR requirements.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Analytics data is typically retained for 24 months. Support correspondence is retained for 12 months after the issue is resolved.
10. International Transfers
Some of our third-party providers process data outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.
11. Your Rights
If you are a UK or EU resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — request that we limit how we use your data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — withdraw any consent you have given at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
12. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. However, no internet transmission is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our games after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
